We have just released a new update of our Green Kitchen App. Not only have we included smart timers with full support for the Apple Watch? but we have also translated all the 124 recipes in the app to three new languages – Spanish?? French?? and Italian??. You can find the language switcher inside the settings menu of the app. This update is available without any extra cost.

Here are some facts that grabbed my attention about a year ago: __________ The National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health did a study on 2,983 ingredients that are commonly found in the home. Here’s what they found: + 884 toxic ingredients + 314 cause biological mutations + 218 cause reproductive toxicity + 778 are toxic to the human body + 146 cause cancer (and have been banned in other countries around the world) __________ The average home contains 63 hazardous and toxic chemicals. That blew my mind, because I thought there was NO way that I had 60+ cleaners under my sinks… but toxic chemicals are found in pretty much ALL products that can be found on store shelves- everything from shampoos, to skincare, to makeup, to lotions, toothpastes, and household cleaners. __________ A phenomenal tool for checking the products in your home, is an app called Think Dirty. You can download it to your phone, and simply scan the barcode of every product you want to learn more about! It will give you a rating on a scale of 1 to 10, and then break down the ingredients for you based on toxicity. If you don’t have this one yet, you NEED it! I use this app every time I go to the store & want to try a new product!
